Kathy Lenz of Cassville, New York, has won the 29th annual Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) $100,000 Miracle Drawing, held on October 15, 2025. The event is a fundraiser that supports Maternal Child Services across the Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS).
Alongside the grand prize winner, ten bonus prizes were awarded. Rick Pugh from Whitesboro received a custom-built Unilock Fire Pit from Stone Age Landscaping. Joseph Passalacqua, also from Whitesboro, won a $1,000 gift certificate from New York Sash. Tennille Fox of St. Johnsville took home a Tiffany table lamp donated by Meyda Lighting. Other winners included Paul Green of Clark Mills, Tim Moore of Whitesboro, Diana Hahn of Utica, Christy Knapp of Frankfort, Paul Eastman of Deansboro, Michelle Lopiccolo of New Hartford, and Joe Crabbe of Rome, who each received various prizes ranging from gift certificates to home appliances.
Since its start in 1996, the Miracle Drawing has raised over $9.8 million for the CMN Program at MVHS. The funds are used for the care of local children and have enabled the purchase of equipment such as a panda warmer for the NICU, a vein visualization system for the Pediatric Unit, and a portable ultrasound machine. Additionally, the funding supports interactive therapy tools for children at the Faxton campus, which have been particularly beneficial for children with autism.
Partners for the event include WKTV NEWSChannel 2, AmeriCU Credit Union, GPO Federal Credit Union, and PJ Green.
Debbie Wainwright, CMN Program Director for MVHS, said, “My passion for CMN grows every year because of the families I meet and the countless personal stories people share when buying their tickets. It’s truly inspiring and moving to hear and see how people connect to CMN. We are extremely grateful to everyone who supported this year’s campaign – this is a huge effort and through the outpouring of generosity in our community, we once again sold all 4,500 tickets. The funds raised this year will continue to make a huge impact in the lives of many families being cared for here at MVHS.”
