Free seminar on hip and knee pain to be held at Wynn Hospital

Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) will hold a free seminar focused on hip and knee pain for patients. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, August 27, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Wynn Hospital Auditorium, located at 111 Hospital Drive in Utica.

The seminar will be led by Dr. Prashant Deshmane of the MVHS Orthopedic Group. Dr. Deshmane specializes in adult reconstruction and sports medicine, providing both nonsurgical and surgical care for injuries involving the hip, knee, and shoulder.

During the session, Dr. Deshmane will cover advancements in technology related to hip and knee replacement procedures. He will also discuss treatment options for arthritis affecting these joints and introduce attendees to Mako SmartRobotics arm-assisted technology used in joint replacement surgeries.
