The recent drone sightings in New York and New Jersey have raised concerns among local officials. Joseph Griffo has expressed his support for Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente’s stance on the matter.

Griffo stated, “The unusual and suspicious drone sightings in New York and New Jersey are very concerning.” He emphasized the strategic advantage that federal assets in Oneida County provide, particularly in counter Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) research and development.

He urged federal authorities to consider Picente’s offer to use local Department of Defense resources to address the issue. Griffo added, “I am hopeful that our federal representatives will also support and advocate for such action.”
