Joan Grande has dedicated her efforts to volunteerism and supporting others through various charitable and nonprofit organizations in Central New York and the Mohawk Valley. As President of HealthFriends, she assists individuals lacking medication insurance or financial means to obtain prescribed medications. Her leadership extends to her past presidency at the Boys and Girls Club of the Mohawk Valley.
Grande’s involvement spans multiple boards, including Hospice and Palliative Care, the Resource Center for Independent Living (RCIL), the CNY Vision Foundation, the Masonic Care Community Advisory Board, and Scouting America, Leatherstocking Council. She has also contributed as a committee member for several organizations such as the House of the Good Shepherd, Central New York Conservancy, Center for Family Life & Recovery, and the Boilermaker Road Race.
In an advisory capacity with On Point for College, Grande has aided over 11,000 first-generation youth in college admissions and success. Her support extends to causes like Root Farm in Sauquoit—where she served as Interim Executive Director—and campaigns such as Hospice and Palliative Care’s Light Up a Life. She chaired events like Wonderland of Lights benefiting RCIL programs and led initiatives like the Adirondack Bank Golf Tournament.
Professionally, Grande is Executive Assistant to Tom Clark at Mac-Clark Restaurants where she spearheads philanthropic activities enhancing regional lives.
Residing in Clinton with her husband Steve Johns, Joan Grande is a mother of five children: Joshua, Matthew, Nicole, Lindsay, Nicholas; and grandmother to nine grandchildren: Alexa, Bryce, Colton, Leah, Hannah, Wyatt, Ryan, Avery, Sean.
