The Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) Foundation, in collaboration with WKTV NewsChannel 2 and local Walmart stores, is organizing a special event to support the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals program at MVHS. The event will take place at two Walmart locations where staff will be available to accept payments for $100,000 Miracle Drawing raffle tickets. The funds raised will benefit local children’s hospitals.

Raffle tickets can be purchased on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Walmart located at 710 Horatio Street in Utica and on Friday, June 20, 2025, during the same hours at the Walmart Supercenter on Commercial Drive in New Hartford. Each ticket costs $100 and offers a chance to win nine bonus prizes along with a grand prize of $100,000 in cash.

A total of 4,500 tickets are available for purchase. In addition to Walmart locations, tickets can also be bought with cash or check at several participating outlets including AmeriCU Credit Union locations, Chanatry’s Hometown Market, Countryside Stove & Chimney, GPO Federal Credit Union locations, Jay-K Independent Lumber Corp., Mohawk Valley Federal Credit Union offices (Faxton Campus), Remington Federal Credit Union branches, Special Metals Federal Credit Union sites and Utica Gas & Electric Federal Credit Union.

The drawing is scheduled for Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at 6 p.m., broadcast live on WKTV.

According to MVHS: “Projects such as the $100,000 Miracle Drawing allow MVHS to raise the funds needed to continue to provide life-saving care.” They emphasize that all proceeds remain within the community to ensure a healthy future for every child by supporting essential health services and pediatric medical equipment.
