The Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) has announced the recipient of its “Laboratorian of the Year” award for 2024. Veronica (Roni) Sebastian, a Laboratory Assistant I at the MVHS Clinton Medical Office, has been honored with this recognition.

The award is part of MVHS’s employee appreciation program. It acknowledges employees who exceed their job duties and demonstrate exemplary behavior in line with the organization’s values. Nominations for the award come from co-workers, supervisors, or other leaders within the organization.

Christine Goldman, BS, MLS (ASCP), director of Laboratory Services at MVHS, expressed her appreciation for Sebastian’s dedication: “I have worked with Veronica for years, both as her co-worker and her supervisor,” she said. “In both roles I could always count on her. She will come into the office on her days off and float wherever needed with no complaints. I truly appreciate her and her dedication to patients is unwavering.”
