The Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) Cancer Center has received a donation from Safe Schools Mohawk Valley. The contribution consisted of hot cocoa packets, each placed in handmade envelopes adorned with drawings and words of encouragement, intended for patients at the cancer center.

Cindy Christian, executive director of the MVHS Cancer Center, expressed gratitude for the gesture: “The MVHS Cancer Center is extremely grateful to the children from Safe Schools Mohawk Valley for thinking of our patients in the Cancer Center for their generous donation. We know our patients will be so appreciative.”

The thoughtful donation was created by children from 10 local elementary schools who aimed to bring some cheer to those undergoing cancer treatment.
