The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office announced on April 13 that deputies responded to a reported threat at Clinton Middle School in the Town of Kirkland during the early morning hours of April 11. According to Sheriff Robert M. Maciol, deputies were dispatched at approximately 1:42 AM to investigate the incident.
The situation prompted the involvement of both the Juvenile Aid Unit and the Criminal Investigation Unit from the Sheriff’s Office, reflecting concern over the nature of the complaint. The authorities said there is currently no ongoing threat to either students or members of the public within the Clinton Central School District.
The investigation into this matter remains active as officials continue their inquiries. The Sheriff’s Office has stated that an update will be provided once more information becomes available.
