A Port Leyden woman was arrested on April 6 for selling alcohol without a license at Rookies Riverside Tavern in the Town of Boonville, according to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol.

The case began after the Sheriff’s Office received a complaint from the New York State Liquor Authority in February. The complaint stated that Rookies Riverside Tavern, located on Moose River Road, had continued to serve alcohol to customers even though its liquor license expired in November 2025.

Sheriff Maciol said the matter was investigated by the Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Unit. The investigation found that the tavern did continue serving alcohol after its license lapsed.

Danielle Jones, age 52, was charged with one count of selling alcohol without a license. This is an unclassified misdemeanor under Alcohol Beverage Control Law. She was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Boonville Town Court in May.

No further information about potential penalties or additional charges has been released.
