A man from the Town of Marcy was arrested following a physical domestic dispute, the Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol said on April 21.
The incident occurred around 2:20 a.m. on April 20, when Road Patrol Deputies responded to a report of an ongoing domestic issue at Carey Road in Marcy. According to Maciol, deputies determined that Jonathan Morse, age 37, struck an adult victim in the back of the head while a 16-year-old child was present.
Morse faces one count of endangering the welfare of a child, classified as a Class A misdemeanor, and one count of harassment in the second degree, which is considered a violation. He was taken to the Kurt B. Wyman Law Enforcement Building for processing and is being held at Oneida County Jail pending arraignment in CAP Court.
Authorities also contacted Child Protective Services regarding the minor who witnessed the incident.
