Oneida County Sheriff reports arrest in Oriskany Falls domestic incident

A Town of Augusta man was arrested following a domestic incident in the Village of Oriskany Falls, Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol said on March 31.

The case concerns public safety and law enforcement response to domestic incidents within the community.

According to Maciol, Road Patrol Deputies were dispatched on March 29 to a residence in Oriskany Falls after receiving a report of a domestic dispute. After conducting an investigation, deputies arrested Derek E. Streeter, age 24.

Streeter faces charges including criminal obstruction of breathing, classified as a Class A misdemeanor, and harassment in the second degree, which is considered a violation. Authorities processed Streeter at the Kurt B. Wyman Law Enforcement Building. He was then arraigned in CAP court and subsequently released on his own recognizance.
