A Town of Marshall woman was arrested following a domestic incident, Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol said on April 6.

The case is significant as it addresses ongoing concerns about domestic incidents in the Village of Waterville and demonstrates law enforcement’s response to such complaints.

According to Maciol, the investigation began when a complaint was received by the Road Patrol Deputy assigned to the Waterville Field Office regarding several domestic incidents occurring in the area. After completing the investigation, authorities arrested Jausaun Murden, age 35, on April 4. She faces charges of stalking in the fourth degree, classified as a B misdemeanor, and harassment in the second degree, which is considered a violation.

Murden was transferred to the Oneida County Correctional Facility where she will await CAP Court proceedings. The sheriff’s office has not released further details about the incidents or any potential upcoming court dates at this time.

Law enforcement officials continue to encourage residents to report similar incidents so they can be properly investigated.
