Oneida County Sheriff’s Office – Personal Injury Motor Vehicle Accident

According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, On November 27, 2022, at or around 10:00 pm, Road Patrol Deputies responded to the intersection of State Route 365 and The New York State Thruway Exit 33 in the Town of Verona for a reported personal injury motor vehicle accident. 

Upon arrival, Deputies determined that John A. Girolamo (72), of Canastota, NY, was operating a Grey 2015 Mazda on State Route 365. Girolamo attempted to make a U-turn on State Route 365 and turned in front of Logan J. Joyner (21), of Williamstown, NY. Joyner then struck Girolamo’s vehicle. Girolamo’s vehicle then spun into the oncoming lane of traffic. Both Girolamo and Joyner sustained minor injuries from the crash. Girolamo was treated on scene by Vineall Ambulance and released. Joyner was transported to Oneida Health for further treatment of his injuries. Girolamo was issued citations, returnable to the Town of Verona Court at a later date. 

The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the Verona Fire Department, Kinney’s Towing, Rocker’s Towing, and Vineall Ambulance.
