The Rome Health Wound Care Center was recognized on April 2 for its performance in providing specialized wound care services. Miranda Majewicz-Huembes, Director of the Rome Health Wound Care Center, said, “This recognition is a direct reflection of our team. Their dedication, collaboration, and willingness to continuously improve is what makes this level of performance possible. I’m incredibly proud of the way they show up for our patients and for each other every single day.”

The center is part of the Healogics network, which includes nearly 600 Wound Care Centers across the country. It offers specialized treatment to patients with diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, infections, and other chronic wounds.

Patients at the center have access to advanced wound care options such as negative pressure wound therapy, total contact casting, bio-engineered tissues, biosynthetic dressings, and growth factor therapies. The facility also provides hyperbaric oxygen therapy—a treatment that increases oxygen delivery to tissue—to help accelerate healing in certain chronic wounds.

Community members who need wound care services are encouraged to call 315.338.7540 to make an appointment.
