Open sign up for the Corrections Division, this sign up will end on 11/29/22. The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office was granted by the state, to participate in a pilot program for this upcoming test. This will be a "Training and Experience" (T&E) format. A "T&E" exam is used when Civil Service has determined that specific education or experience is good predictor of success at the job. There will be no written or oral test for this examination. If you meet the minimum qualifications, you will receive a rating based upon an evaluation of your training and experience against the duties of the position.
Everyone who signs up and is approved by the 11/29/22 deadline will receive the T&E information and will have from December 15, 2022 - January 15, 2023 to complete and submit this questionnaire. Anyone who completes this will receive a passing score with job history and life experience to be added for higher scores. There is a cost to take this exam, but the local company Mountainside Medical Equipment has pledged to pay that back to anyone who completes the exam; this would be paid at a later date with a prepaid credit card.
