Mohawk Valley Community College will host its Spring Open House from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, March 31, at the College’s Utica Campus at 1101 Sherman Drive.

The program will begin at 10 a.m. in Schafer Theater in Wilcox Hall and will feature an introduction to the College and Admissions Office and a session on Residence Life for those students interested in living on campus. Check-in will begin at 9:45 a.m. in the lobby outside the Theater. Refreshments will be available. Registration is recommended, but not required to attend. To register, visit www.mvcc.edu/openhouse.

The event will also include a showcase of MVCC’s academic programs and student services from 10:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Jorgensen Athletic and Event Center Field House, where visitors will have the chance to meet with MVCC faculty, staff, and students to talk about academic programs, see demonstrations, find out about student support services and clubs, reach out to athletic coaches, and tour the Utica Campus, including the residence halls, dining halls, classrooms, and labs. MVCC’s Center for Corporate and Community Education also will be on hand to talk about noncredit courses for professional development, personal wellness, and leisure learning.

“Open House is a great opportunity for students interested in learning more about MVCC to get a look at the College and meet faculty in their areas of study and staff who are dedicated to student success, whether it is in career exploration, job readiness, or transfer to a four-year institution,” says Dan Ianno, director of Admissions at MVCC. “Students and their families can explore all that MVCC has to offer, from academic programs in everything from cybersecurity to fine arts, as well as our diverse athletic programs.”

To make an appointment with the Admissions Office at a different time, go to www.mvcc.edu/visit, call 315-792-5354, or email admissions@mvcc.edu.
