The Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) has reopened its Town of Webb Medical Office following a temporary closure due to mold mitigation. An environmental testing company had identified high levels of mold in specific areas of the facility.

To ensure the safety of patients and staff, the office was closed temporarily while mitigation efforts were undertaken. The decision to close and address the issue was made in consultation with Infection Control, a Critical Care pulmonologist, and MVHS executive leadership.

During the closure, patients and staff were directed to other MVHS medical offices and provided with telemedicine options where applicable.

The building housing the medical office is owned by the Town of Webb, but MVHS funded the mold mitigation process.

Located at 114 South Shore Road in Old Forge, the Town of Webb Medical Office can be contacted at 315-369-6619. It operates from Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
