According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, on December 13, 2022, at approximately 10:24 AM Oneida County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a personal injury motor vehicle accident on Mcconnellsville Road in the Town of Vienna.
During the course of the investigation, Deputies determined that Peggy Darling (49), of Blossvale, was operating a 2017 Kia Niro Westerly on McConnellsville Road while responding to a structure fire call when she passed a 2020 Subaru Outback who was operated by Dawn Brown (57), of Blossvale on the left as Brown was making a left hand turn onto Kimball Rd. Darling rear ended Brown as she was turning left causing Browns vehicle to spin and come to rest against the guard rail on Kimball Rd. Brown was transported to Rome Memorial Hospital via AmCare ambulance for evaluation due to head pain.
Darling was issued a citation for No-Passing zones returnable to Vienna Town Court at a later date.
The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the McConnellsville Fire Department and AmCare Ambulance
