The City of Utica has taken proactive measures in response to the anticipated snowfall on Friday, March 22, 2024. A Snow Emergency has been declared by the city officials, set to commence at 11:00 p.m. on the same day.
In a statement, a City of Utica Official announced, "Due to the anticipated forecast of snow Friday March 22, 2024 the City of Utica is being proactive and declaring a Snow Emergency that will go into effect FRIDAY March 22, 2024 at 11:00 p.m."
The City of Utica is urging residents to cooperate by ensuring all vehicles are removed from city streets by 11:00 p.m. on Friday, March 22, 2024. According to the official, "To facilitate safe passage for snow removal and emergency services, all vehicles must be removed from city streets by 11:00 pm FRIDAY March 22, 2024."
Furthermore, the official warned, "Any vehicles left on city streets after 11:00 pm on MARCH 22NDare subject to ticketing and towing at the owner’s expense." It was emphasized that the Snow Emergency will be in effect until further notice.
