According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert Maciol; On June 16, 2022, at about 0230 PM, Deputies responded to State Route 5 at Bleeker Rd in the Town of Vernon for a reported one car personal injury motor vehicle accident.
Upon arrival, Deputies determined that Trisha Lampson (27), of Clarks Mills, NY, was operating an orange 2020 BMW West on Route 5. Lampson attempted to slow for stopped traffic at the intersection of Bleeker Rd and was unable to do so. Lampson’s vehicle exited the Northern shoulder of the roadway before striking a National Grid utility pole, coming to rest with heavy damage to the vehicle and pole.
Lampson complained of neck pain and was transported to St Elizabeth Hospital. Lampson was issued citations for “Speed Not Reasonable and Prudent” and “Moved From Lane Unsafely” returnable to Vernon Town Court at a later date.
The Oneida County Sheriff's Office was assisted on scene by Vernon Fire Department, Vineall Ambulance, and the New York State Police.
