16.1 percent of Utica College students played sports on university teams in 2017-2018

In 2017-2018, 16.1 percent of Utica College students participated in collegiate sports, according to data made available by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

Utica College has 3,722 undergraduate students, of which 60 percent are women and 40 percent are men, and a total student body of 5,196 students. Of these students, 487 men and 347 women represented the school by participating in one or more of the sports with teams at the school.

This total does not include students playing intramural sports.

According to NCES, 8.7 percent of students enrolled at institutions of higher education with sports teams were on teams.

The sports at Utica College with the most participants are track and field, indoor (131), track and field, outdoor (131) and football (118).
