Our Spiritual Formation Commission has chosen selections from the Horizons Bible Study Into the Light: Finding Hope through Prayers of Lament as the centerpiece of Bethany’s weekly Zoom bible study.
In this nine-lesson study, author Lynn Miller revives “lament” as a response to the difficult situations of our world.
After crying out to God, the one who laments, remembers God. And while that doesn’t fix things in the moment—the injustice, the loss still exists—the lamenter is strengthened to face the world and to hope. In scripture, lament usually leads to hope.
There is no need to RSVP and no study book is needed. Just tune on Tuesday mornings!
